Decolonize Your Body mini retreat (Mar 23 in person)
In this one-day retreat for anyone socialized as a woman or femme, we will learn about how we are colonized—and colonizing—and how we can actively decolonize our bodies, minds, and spirits. We’ll learn about how our language and culture keep us in prescribed roles based on gender, race, age, ability, and other ways to categorize us. We’ll learn about our body parts that are named after the white men who “discovered” them—and alternative names that empower us.
We’ll come home to our bodies through movement and reimagine ourselves through art. We’ll be nourished by a delicious and nutritious lunch as well as luxurious lounging in the aerial silks. This will be a rich day of unlearning, relearning, and embodying.
Sunday, March 23, 10am-4pm EST
Heart Song Aerial Healing Arts, 281 South Champlain St, Burlington, VT (former Railyard Apothecary space)
Please register by March 13.
